War for Ukraine: 7th day of the invasion. New sanctions and fighting.

The situation on the morning of March 2 in different regions of Ukraine:

  • Zhytomyr: private houses were bombed. The wave affected the hospital and maternity hospital. 10 private houses were destroyed. 2 died. 12 were injured.
  • Kirovograd region: march the 1st was the shelling of the military airfield Kanatove. Several sirens at night and in the morning.
  • Volyn: quiet, even without air alarms.
  • Kherson: enemy military equipment throughout the city.
  • Zaporizhia, Odesa, Rivne, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, Lviv, Poltava, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia regions are all quiet.
  • Chernihiv: at night there was an air alarm, positional fighting on the outskirts.
  • Sumy: the evening and night were difficult. Fighting in the areas. Defenders destroyed many enemy equipment. Artillery shelling is ongoing.
  • Luhansk region: in Severodonetsk the night passed quietly. In Muratovo, Russians are robbing locals, there are victims among the locals.
  • Donetsk region: the situation in Volnovakha, Mariupol, is extremely difficult. Konstantinovka was fired at with three rockets, there are casualties, the number is being established. Residents of the region are being evacuated.
  • Mykolayiv region: an offensive operation took place – the enemy column was defeated, according to preliminary data, several hundred units of equipment
  • Dnipro: there were alarms at night.
  • Kharkiv region: in Kharkiv, shelling of residential neighborhoods lasted all night. Planes bombed the positions of Chuguev (Bashkirovka and the airfield), the city of Kharkiv (CHP 5, the tank school on the Poltava road and the dormitory on Klochkovskaya). There are dead and wounded.
  • Kyiv region: the situation in the Bila Tserkva district is under control. On March 1, two explosions took place in Bila Tserkva at about 10 pm, no one was injured.
    Boryspil district – the situation is under control. In the Bucha area the critical situation in Borodyanka. There are injured people under the rubble. In Gostomel – periodic shots and fights.
    On the night of March 1-2, 2022, the russians fired a missile at Kyiv, which was shot down by the air defense system. The wreckage of the rocket fell near the South Railway Station and damaged the heating network. One person was injured.
  • Chernihiv: at night there was an air alarm, positional fighting on the outskirts.

What happened at the front on March 2, 2022

Groups of russian soldiers and officers continue to surrender.

During the day, about thirty fighter jets violated Ukraine’s airspace, mostly from Belarus, and bombed civilians.

In the Kyiv region, the Armed Forces liberated the occupied Makariv and established themselves in the city.

The Ukrainian army neutralized the landing party trying to land near Nikolaev. Occupation troops are in Kherson.

Enemy equipment smashed by Ukrainian aircraft on March 2:

  • 3 planes
  • 2 helicopters of the occupiers
  • columns in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions.

Total losses of Russians on March 2, 2022:

  • personnel – 5840 people
  • aircraft – 30 units
  • helicopters – 31 units
  • tanks – up to 211 units
  • armored combat vehicles – 862 units
  • artillery systems – 85 units
  • means of air defense – 9 units
  • multiple rocket launchers – 40 units
  • tanks with fuels and lubricants – 60 units
  • unmanned aerial vehicles of operational and tactical level – 3 units
  • light speedboats – 2 units
  • automotive equipment – 355 units

Sanctions against Russia:
Countries around the world continue to announce new sanctions against Russia. Canada has announced new sanctions against Rosneft and Gazprom. Germany has confiscated a 156-meter superyacht from Putin’s friend, billionaire Alisher Usmanov. The World Bank said it had suspended all cooperation programs with Russia and Belarus. The H&M brand stops all sales in Russia. Japan is freezing the assets of 7 Russian banks that were previously disconnected from the SWIFT system.

The Hague tribunal has launched an investigation into Russia’s crimes against Ukraine!
