M142 HIMARS make targeted strikes on enemy control points, ammunition and fuel storage depots
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhnyi, said that the Ukrainian forces managed to stabilize the situation at the front. As Zaluzhny reported on Facebook, he said this in a conversation with the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley.
“We managed to stabilize the situation. It is complex, intense, but completely controlled. An important factor that contributed to our retention of defensive lines and positions is the timely arrival of M142 HIMARS, which deliver targeted strikes on enemy control points, ammunition and fuel storage depots,” – said the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Zaluzhnyi also noted that he traditionally informed his American colleague about the operational situation.
The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces added that on the eve of the meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine, he and Milli synchronized the requests of the Ukrainian side.
Note that the next meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine will be held on July 20.
On April 26, a meeting of the defense ministers of almost 40 countries took place at the Ramstein air base in Germany, during which a collective support group for Ukraine was launched, the purpose of which is to meet the defense needs of the Ukrainian army. Since then, two more meetings of such a contact group have taken place.
